By the end of the 10-day period, physical cravings will be under control. What credit score or income requirements are there for the ketamine financing plans?

Our ketamine financing plans are available regardless of credit score or income level. As long as you have the ability to make the agreed upon monthly payments, we can assist with a personalized payment schedule at 0% interest.

Is financing available for any of the other IV treatments besides ketamine?

Currently, financing is only available for our ketamine infusions. However, in select cases we can create a customized payment plan for other treatments to fit your budget. Please call us to discuss.

How much does IV therapy cost at Ballen Medical & Wellness?

The price for our IV therapy treatments ranges significantly based on which treatment you’re receiving. Pricing for some of the more common infusions is as follows: $415-$430 for a ketamine infusion when part of a package, $374-$1100 for NAD infusions depending on the dosage and the package, $165 for a Myers Cocktail, $225 for IV Ozone with UBI when part of a package, and $200-$350 for a high-dose vitamin C infusion. Vitamin injections range from $25-$40.

Do you accept insurance for IV therapy treatments?

As a self-pay wellness practice focused on optimal care, we do not directly take insurance plans. However, you can most likely use your HSA or FSA to cover your infusions. We’re also happy to provide superbills upon request. These itemized billing statements contain the medical codes you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your policy.

Is there a discount for purchasing IV therapy packages/multiple treatments upfront?

Yes, we offer prepay packages with discounted pricing for several of our treatments. Please refer to individual infusion listings or call us to discuss.

Preparation/Aftercare Questions

Should I avoid eating before an infusion? Are there any dietary restrictions?

We recommend avoiding heavy meals 2-3 hours prior to a scheduled infusion session when possible. Small snacks and clear liquids are fine. No dietary restrictions unless otherwise advised by your ordering provider based on your labs and medical history.

Will I be able to drive myself home after treatments or do I need someone to assist me?

For your first infusion we highly recommend arranging transportation, as it is difficult to predict exactly how you may feel afterwards. For subsequent treatments, driving yourself is typically fine in most cases. Our nurses will provide guidance at the end of each infusion. Having someone accompany you is suggested but not always necessary. For ketamine treatment however it always necessary to have transportation arranged — you should not drive within 24 hours of your ketamine infusion.

Are there any activities I should avoid right after an infusion session?

We advise taking it easy after treatments. Refrain from operating heavy machinery or engaging in tasks requiring coordination or mental alertness until the following day. Listen to your body and don’t push yourself to resume normal activity until all side effects fully wear off. Stay well hydrated and get plenty of rest. For ketamine treatment, please be on the safe side and avoid driving or operating heavy machinery within 24 hours of your infusion.

Do I need a prescription or referral for IV therapy? Can I walk in without an appointment?

We do not offer walk-in IV therapy without an appointment. However, no prescription is necessary for most of our infusions. If you’re not sure whether you need a prescription, please contact us.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my IV infusion therapy session?

There is generally minimal preparation needed. Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs at least 5 days prior if possible, and avoid heavy meals 2-3 hours before your appointment time. Hydrate well in the 24 hours before and after your treatment. Call us if you have any additional questions about getting ready for your first infusion. If you’re having ketamine for the first time, we have an orientation guide available to help you prepare and be able to relax during your session.

Are your IV treatments safe?

Most infusions are incredibly safe when administered by professional medical staff. Please make us aware of any medical history you have that might require special consideration.

What kind of training does your staff receive?

Our IV clinic was founded by an MD, and is staffed by Registered Nurses. We adhere to rigorous safety and cleaning protocols and our team has advanced experience IV therapy, pharmacology, and emergency response. You can rest assured you’ll be monitored by highly qualified staff while you’re at our center.

Are there any prerequisites for undergoing IV therapy?

Certain treatments require recent lab tests (bloodwork) or medical evaluations to make sure you can safely receive the infusions. For example, our detox programs involve both lab work and a medical evaluation prior to starting. However many others including general vitamin or wellness treatments have no specific prerequisites.
